Participating In Timothy CHristian – P.I.T.CH.
Welcome to P.I.T.C.H , our Volunteer Management Program.
The P.I.T.C.H program strives to build a community among all participants in Timothy
Christian School. We do this by asking every family attending TCS to give a minimum
of 25 hours of their time to the school. This can be done in a variety of ways throughout
the school year, including helping on school trips, assisting in the classroom,
making phone calls, helping out with yard work or fundraisers, joining a committee
and attending our general meetings. It is amazing how easy it is to find areas where
you can bless the school with the gift of your time. Throughout the year the P.I.T.C.H.
Committee will identify areas where your talents and assistance can be used at TCS.
These opportunities as well as who to contact will be listed on our website and
in the TCS newsletter.
There are two ways in which you can record your volunteer hours. There is a form
you can fill out and put into the P.I.T.C.H. Box, which is located in the office.
The other option is to e-mail your hours to timothypitch@hotmail.com. Please note that
teachers will not record volunteer hours. Once a month the hours will be calculated
and put on our website.
You should have already received your family password and the web address in October,
giving instructions to access the website with your own password to view your hours.
No one else, other than the P.I.T.C.H. committee members, will be able to view your
hours. Once you have reached 25 hours a message will be posted on your site. Of
course, we hope that you will continue to help out at TCS throughout the year.
We realize that there may be circumstances where your family will not be able to
attain the requested 25 hours. There is an exception program available, so please
contact one of the committee members for more information (their names are listed
below).
Remember by “P.I.T.C.H.ing in” you are not only helping TCS, but also your children
and all those who are involved in the school. You are helping to build a strong
community and modeling the very principles that are being taught to your children
in the classrooms.
We thank you for giving of your time and talents. If you have any questions please
feel free to contact anyone on the P.I.T.C.H. committee.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Uyenaka (Program Coordinator and Main Contact)
John VanDyke (Board Member)
